In House Poet

Kyra Wolfe

Writing poetry and sharing stories has always been a part of Kyra's life. Growing up, it was one of her favorite pastimes that brought her immense joy. This passion for writing took her to Olivet Nazarene University, where she began to pursue a degree in English and Creative Writing. After two and half years of study, she felt God calling her to be a teacher, and she obediently changed her major and began a pursuit of Early Childhood Education. Though her degree had changed, Kyra's love for poetry and spoken word continued to grow. Through poetry, she began to share  her testimony about the goodness of God in her life with the students on her college campus. It was there that she discovered the power of words and the beautiful way that they bring community together.

Today, Kyra teaches 2nd grade at a classical Christian school, where she has the privilege of enriching the minds of young learners and teaching them about the character of Jesus. She is a wife to her husband, Joshua, and enjoys reading, writing poetry, and exploring coffee shops in her free time. Her heart's desire is that you would find a piece of yourself amidst her words and that, ultimately, you would find the heart of Jesus as the true Author of each story that she shares.
